Arijit Lodh completed his graduation in Metallurgical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2008. Then he completed his MTech in Metallurgical Engineering & Materials Science from IIT Bombay. In 2010, he joined R&D, Tata Steel India as a researcher and worked there for 3 years. His main focus in R&D Tata Steel was developing various grades of steels through hot rolling route. Due to constant attachment in research work, he was motivated to pursue a PhD degree and so, joined the IITB-Monash Research Academy. Here, he will be working under the guidance of Prof. C R Hutchinson and Prof. I Samajdar on project ‘Fatigue Crack Nucleation in Aerospace Alloys’.
