Bhavna Rajagopal completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Women’s Christian College, Chennai. She was awarded Department of Psychology, Mrs. Angela Richards and Mrs. Mercy Samuel prizes for her outstanding academic performance in the undergraduate level. She then completed her Master’s in Psychology from Christ University, Bangalore. Her M.Sc. dissertation was on “Attachment Styles and Grieving Patterns in pet owners who have lost their pet”, under the supervision of Prof. Stephen S. After graduating she worked as a special educator for two years with children with learning disabilities. Her keen interest in the field of social psychology has motivated her to pursue her Ph.D. Currently, she is enrolled at the IITB-Monash Research Academy for her joint Ph.D. program to work on the project “Child and reproductive health in India”.
