Dhiraj Kumar Singh completed his BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 2011. After graduation he gained some industry experience in the power sector while working for Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) as an engineer for two years. He was involved in system engineering activities for thermal power plants at the Project Engineering Management (PEM) division of BHEL. At IITB-Monash Research Academy, he is working on the research project ‘Modelling and Experimental Studies of Hydrogen Assisted Stress Corrosion Cracking in Steel Weldments’ under the guidance of Prof. S. K. Maiti (IIT Bombay), Prof. Raman Singh (Monash University) and Prof. Tanmay K. Bhandakkar (IIT Bombay). In his leisure time he enjoys sketching, playing table tennis, watching documentaries and trekking.
