Kandala Laxman Vamshi Krishna has completed his 5 year Masters in Chemical Sciences from the University of Hyderabad in 2015. His Master’s thesis was on “Modified hexamethyldisilazane assisted synthesis of SnS nanoflakes”. He was a NIUS Scholar from 2010-2012, an IASc-INSA-NASI Summer Research Fellow at IIT Bombay in 2013 and has been a summer intern at ACRHEM (Advanced Centre for Research in High Energy Materials), University of Hyderabad in 2014. He is interested in interdisciplinary research. His major interests lie in synthetic organic chemistry, nano materials and the biological importance of nano materials. He is currently working on project “Self-assembling systems: New self-supporting catalysts” under the supervision of Prof. M. Ravikanth (IIT Bombay), Prof. Patrick Perlmutter (Monash University), and Prof. Mibel Aguilar (Monash University). Apart from research, he is an avid listener of classical & melody, enjoys travelling to new places; and playing chess and strategic games. Quality time with family and friends is his first choice in times of leisure.
