Preetham Permude
Preetham Permude completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum in 2013 and his M.Tech in Nanotechnology from Amrita Centre for Nanoscience and Molecular Medicine, Kochi in 2016. As part of his Master’s thesis, he investigated the application of transition metal oxide nanoparticles and nanofibres for Lithium-ion battery application and the results were published in an International Journal. This motivated him to continue research in the field of energy storage. He later worked as a Junior Research Fellow in IIT-Bombay on ‘Anodic Protection for High energy Lithium-Sulfur batteries’. At the academy, he is working under the supervision of Professor Sagar Mitra (IIT Bombay) and Professor Doug MacFarlane (Monash University) on the project titled ‘Solid-State Lithium-Sulfur Battery operating at low temperature based on polymer-solid ion conductor composite electrolyte and sulfur cathode’. He has keen interest in renaissance art, chess and badminton.
