Rahul Raj is basically an electronics engineer. After completing his B.E. from University of Pune he chose to go for interdisciplinary study and joined IIT Bombay to do his M.Tech in “Technology and Development”. During his M.Tech, he intensively worked on Remote sensing using drone and precision agriculture. His M.Tech Thesis is on “Evaluation of UAV-based high resolution and satellite-based medium resolution canopy images with ground based measurement to estimate LAI”. In the Academy, he is working on “A system approach model for Citrus crop growth prediction using ground and remote sensing based information and data assimilation techniques”. He has a unique experience of 10-week village stay (Karsul, Pimpalgaon, Nashik) for a project on agricultural feeder loss analysis. He also likes to write blogs and poems. He involves himself in social work and has a passion for teaching.
