Rakhi Singh
Rakhi Singh completed her Masters in Applied Statistics and Informatics from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 2010. Following her passion for statistics, she then worked with pioneers like EXL Services and American Express in the field of predictive analytics for a little more than 4 years. Handling large datasets and designing experiments using state-of-the-art technologies as an integral part of the core research team at American Express fuelled her pre-existent zeal to pursue high end research in statistics. Rakhi is joining PhD programme at the IITB-Monash academy starting Jan’15 under the supervision of Prof. Ashish Das and Dr. Daniel Horsley. She would be working on Fractional Factorial Designs and related combinatorics at the Academy. In the long term, she plans to teach statistics in synchronized fashion with a blend of industry and research. Her hobbies include playing Squash and Badminton, sketching and visiting new places.
