Sachin Talekar completed his BE in Biotechnology Engineering and M.E. in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology from Kolhapur Institute of Technology’s college of engineering, Kolhapur. Before joining the IITB-Monash academy, he was working in Department of Biotechnology Engineering at Kolhapur Institute of Technology’s College of Engineering, Kolhapur as an assistant professor for 7.5 years and had undertaken the responsibility of R & D coordinator, AICTE portal coordinator, budget coordinator, alumni coordinator, MOODLE coordinator, etc. He has wide teaching experience, taught many subjects and guided many undergraduate project students. He has published 12 research papers in international journals of high impact published by Elsevier, RSC publishing, etc. He has been invited to write review article by RSC Advances journal published by Royal society of Chemistry, Cambridge which is published and selected as HOT article by Royal society of Chemistry, Cambridge. He secure h-index- 8 and i-10 index- 7 with total citations 192 till 6th Jan, 2016 according to Google scholar report. He has received Sane Guruji Young Scientist award given by Anti Dowry Movement, Bombay. He has currently joined IITB-Monash Research Academy to work on the project “Integrated Biorefinery Concept from Pomegranate Processing Waste” with Prof. Amit Arora from IIT Bombay and Prof. Antonio Patti from Monash University.
