Sourabh Mehta completed his M.Phil. in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, from National Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, University of Mumbai and Masters in Biotechnology from Modern College, Shivaji Nagar,Pune affiliated to University of Pune. During M.Phil, he worked on the biosynthesis of metallic nanoparticles and paper based microfluidic device fabrication. As an outcome of M.Phil research project, he has obtained two patents and published research articles in international peer reviewed journals. Sourabh has one year experience being research assistant at National Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology funded by Pharmaceutical Company. Additionally, he had worked as an Associate Engineer (Biotechnology) at Symphony-teleca corp. Pvt.Ltd. from 2011-2013. Apart from academics, Sourabh is a mobile short film maker. His short films were screened at different short film international festivals and also have won first prize for few productions. He has keen interest in writing short stories, drama plays as well in his free time.
At the academy he will be working on the project entitled “Smart nanoparticles for detection of vulnerable Atherosclerotic plaques and their therapeutic stabilization” under the guidance of Prof. Rinti Banerjee (IIT-Bombay), and Prof. Karlheinz Peter, Prof. Alex Bobik (Monash University).
