Vishnu graduated from Monash University with Master of Advanced Engineering, specialization in Energy & Sustainability and Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad. After his bachelor’s, he worked with Fujitsu General as an Engineer Trainee – Projects where he dealt with HVAC designing techniques, multi-split inverter-based AC, etc. for a short period, after which he qualified his GRE, IELTS and decided to go for higher studies. During his master’s at Monash he got into projects which include Integration of Renewables with Smart Grids, OGPV design for food trucks, Building Energy Audit, PCM Optimization, Green Buildings optimal solutions etc. His areas of interests include Sustainable Energy Technologies, Smart Grids and Energy Policies. For pursuing the IITB-Monash joint PhD program, he would be working on the topic “India’s Renewable Energy Policy” under the Supervision of Prof. Anand B. Rao (IIT Bombay) and Prof. Robert Thomson (Monash University). Apart from studies, he is an avid squash player and a badminton enthusiast.
