Viswanath Sudarshan
Viswanath obtained his B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NIT Surathkal, Karnataka. His bachelor thesis on energy aware routing in Wireless Sensor Networks was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ashvini Chaturvedi. Later, he worked at Philips Innovation Campus, Bangalore in the area of Magnetic Resonance Imaging reconstruction, for a couple of years. He resumed his academics by pursuing Master of Science degree in Biomedical Computing, from TU Munich (TUM), Germany. His thesis titled “Artefact reduction in optoacoustic tomography using multi-modal priors”, was conducted under the supervision Prof. Dr. Daniel Razansky at the Institute of Biological and Medical Imaging, Helmholtz Zentrum, Munich and Prof. Dr. Bjoern Menze (TUM). At the IITB-Monash academy his PhD research topic is “Attenuation correction in simultaneous MR-PET” under Prof. Dr. Suyash Awate (IITB) and Dr. Zhaolin Chen, Prof. Dr. Jon Shah and Prof. Dr. Gary Egan (Monash University).
