Anjana has completed her B. Tech. in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering from Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering under the University of Kerala in 2016. She will be completing her M. Tech. in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai in July, 2018. She has secured rank 10 in GATE (Biotechnology) in the year 2017. Her thesis work in B. Tech. tilted ‘A study on the properties of Rice Husk Ash’ was performed under the supervision of Mrs. Gayathri V. and the thesis work in M. Tech. titled ‘Studies on lauryl derivative as an HIV-1 entry inhibitor’ was conducted in collaboration with NIRRH(ICMR), Mumbai under the supervision of Prof. Vandana Patravale. At the academy she would be working on the project titled ‘Role of bacterial sugar-based lipids in mediating membrane-induced cell death’ under the supervision of Prof. Shobhna Kapoor (IIT Bombay) and Prof. Mibel Aguilar (Monash University). Her interests include trekking, apparel designing/modelling and reading.
