Anup Kundu obtained his MTech in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and BTech in Chemical Engineering from Haldia Institute of Technology, Haldia (West Bengal). After his BTech, he worked as a graduate engineering trainee (GET) in Jai Balaji Industries Ltd., Kolkata. His field of work during his masters was ‘Multiphase Flow’ in which he studied ‘an alternative contacting device for estimation of mass transfer co-efficient in gas-liquid reaction’. He has one paper published in international conferences and one in an international journal. He has now joined IITB Monash Research Academy for his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Rajneesh Bhardwaj (IIT Bombay) and Prof. Mark Thompson (Monash University). His research topic is ‘A Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer Solver for Complex Geometries and Multiphase Flows’.
