Ashwin Nandagiri

Ashwin obtained his B.Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal in 2012. Subsequently he joined Engineers India Limited (EIL), a leading EPC in the refineries and petrochemicals sector. He was part of the PFCCU (Petro-Fluidised Catalytic Cracking Unit) project team at ONGC-MRPL (Mangalore) and gained valuable field experience. As an undergraduate, Ashwin was part of the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and the SOLVE (Student Online Lab for Virtual Experimentation) teams at NITK and also a Indian Academy of Sciences Summer Research Fellow at Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore. His keen interest in fluid mechanics and CFD led him to his current project at the IITB-Monash Research Academy. At the Academy Ashwin is working on the CFD of swimming and propulsion at micro/nano scales under the guidance of Prof. Sameer Jadhav (IIT-B) and Prof. Prabhakar Ranganathan (Monash University).
