Lekshmi Eswaramoorthy pursued her Master’s in Optical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Space
Science and Technology, Thiruvanthapuram. She primarily focused on Temporal Coherence and
Interferometric applications in surface profilometry. She had interned at the Laboratory for Electro-
Optics Systems, ISRO, where she contributed in the optical design of a multi-brand camera assembly.
She has completed her bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University,
Chennai, and graduated as the best outgoing student of the Institute. During her bachelor’s, she
developed a cluster based VANET protocol for plausibility checks. Here at the Academy, she is working
on chip-based nano-optical sources using 2D materials (IMURA0800), with Prof. Anshuman Kumar (IITB)
and Prof. Sudha Mokkapati (Monash University). She aims at pursuing her career in bio-photonics and
imaging. She also pursues her passion in singing, travelling around the world and spreading happiness.
